Enabling Flash in Google Chrome 59 and Above

Question:
How do I enable the Adobe Flash Player in Google Chrome version 57 or higher?
Answer:
To enable Flash, please perform the following:
 
Google Chrome 69 and higher
In this version of Chrome there is no Add button in the Content Settings for Flash. You will need to enable flash per site. Follow the steps below to perform that action:
  1. Click the View site information section
 
 
  1. Select Always allow on this site from the drop-down under Flash
     
  2. Click one of the following:
    • The Reload button under the new site permissions settings message
    • The Chrome Reload button in order for it to take effect
  3. The page will reload and the Flash content will be available to run.
Google Chrome 62 - 68
  1. Click the Customize and Control Google Chrome button Customize and Control Google Chrome
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Advanced
  4. Click Content Settings under Privacy and security
  5. Click Flash
  6. Turn flash on to the right. It should now say Ask first (recommended)
  7. Add the following site(s) to allow:
  • [*.]Phoenix.edu
  • [*.]toolwire.com
  1. Close Chrome and Re-open
Enable by Site
 
Note: 
This method should also work for older versions of Chrome.
  1. Click the View site information section
 
 
  1. Select Always allow on this site from the drop-down under Flash
     
  2. Click one of the following:
    • The Reload button under the new site permissions settings message
    • The Chrome Reload button in order for it to take effect
  3. The page will reload and the Flash content will be available to run.
Google Chrome 59 and 61 
  1. Click the Customize and Control Google Chrome button Customize and Control Google Chrome
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Advanced towards the bottom of the page
  4. Click Content Settings under Privacy and security
     Content Settings
  5. Scroll down to the Flash section
Note: Flash settings can also be access by going directly to chrome://settings/content/flash
  1. Select Allow sites to run Flash:
    • If you want to allow all sites to run flash turn Allow sites to run Flash on (move slide bar to the right)
    • If you prefer to only allow certain sites to allow Flash then turn Allow sites to run Flash off (move slide bar to the left)
       Note: You can add an exception to any of the sites you wish to allow Flash by adding the URL to the Allow section. Wildcards do not work here.

  2. Turn Ask First off
  3. Restart Chrome
Google Chrome 57 and 58 
Enable Globally 
  1. Click the Customize and Control Google Chrome button Customize and Control Google Chrome
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Show Advanced Settings towards the bottom of the page
  4. Click Content Settings under Privacy
  5. Scroll down to the Flash section
  6. Select one of the following:
    • Allow All Sites to Run Flash
    • Manage Exceptions
       Note: You can add an exception to any of the sites you wish to allow Flash by adding the URL to the Allow section. Wildcards do not work here.
  7. Click Done
  8. Restart Chrome
